I’m excited to have my energy returning–particularly as I have some super cool events and projects coming up in the next few weeks and months. Next week I am going to South Carolina to work with my coach, Suzanne Evans, and over twenty other businesses, on honing my skills as a speaker. I am a life-long learner, and I love the opportunity to continue to develop myself, my skills and my experience.
Then I’ll be headed to San Diego to Robert Evans’ Millionaire Messenger Summit where I’ll be appearing as a keynote speaker. I love San Diego, having spent eight years there while I was getting my PhD. And I love getting to meet new people and sharing my message. (I also have some complementary tickets to share–just click the image here to get yours!)
Truth be told, I am also always nervous before I speak, particularly at other people’s events. It’s gotten easier with practice. Like so many things, I’ve stretched into this one a lot. Even though I had years of experience as a teacher and professor, speaking like this is totally different, and requires a different attitude, different skill set, and different intentions (not to mention different type of “thick-skinness”!).
Just want you to know that I am continuing to stretch myself, and as I say in my article this week, even though it can be uncomfortable, I also crave it at the same time. You’re either growing or disintegrating, as they say, so I choose growing! How about you?
