“Always know where the end of your brush is.”

Moon-4-Handout-1Now I am not a super astrologically-minded person, but I sure was glad when Mercury went direct last weekend! I got through fairly well in this retrograde period, but I heard many stories of computers crashing, and challenging relationships – and I had my share of needing to confirm and reconfirm communications. Plus we had an eclipse cycle that brought to the surface our shadow in relationships, so it’s been pretty super-charged these last few weeks. I just learned starting this weekend we will be experiencing ten days of transformational portals opening in Scorpio – SO I am going to be paying attention to what I want to let go of as the snake sheds its skin! The image here is from Stargazer Li, who brings together astrology, astronomy, and the Mayan calendar.

And in the midst of all this, business continues, family continues, and the sun rises and sets every day. One thing I’ve learned over the years is the power of focus. No matter what is happening, to pay attention to where and on what I am focusing. This reminds me of what my creativity matriarch used to say: “Always know where the end of your brush is.” Always be aware of where and on what you are spending your precious attention. Even as the planets mirror what’s going on inside of me, I have the power of focus and attention. I first really learned that in graduate school, when I first developed tremendous focus. That’s really the biggest legacy I have from that time.

We are focusing on Take Command coming up in just a few weeks. I am focusing on the new learning this event is bringing to me as I prepare to guide you to new levels of your new world leadership. Have you registered yet?
