On a Celestial Note: As I write this, today is Beltane or May Day, a cross-quarter holiday festival of fertility, blossoming, sexuality, and the further bursting forth of new beginnings in the Wiccan tradition.
This weekend is the full Moon of Wesak, a very auspicious day in the Buddhist traditions. According to legend, under the Wesak full moon, the Buddha descends into a valley in the Himalayas to bless the thousands gathered there.
In esoteric tradition, this is the third of three spring full moon festivals that set the energy for the upcoming year, and that provide us with the opportunity to focus, intend, and create from within that which is burning within us to be made manifest.
We have also just been through the portals of Easter, renamed after the Spring Goddess of Ostara/Astarte/Oesther, and of course Passover!
Whatever your tradition, whatever you resonate with, now is the perfect time for you to pay attention, to tune within, to listen to what is calling you. For the spotlight of 2012 is shining upon you, showing you what you can no longer ignore. The Wesak full moon in a few days amplifies this spotlight. Will you look or turn away?
I am headed off the grid for a few days for reflection, inner connection, guidance, painting and relaxation at one of my favorite places: Wilbur Hot Springs. Whatever is on your mind, whatever decisions you need to make, whatever actions you need to take, whatever you need to let go of or let in–there is no better time than now. I join you in embracing the challenge/opportunity of this moment!
And So It Is–for the highest good of all.
