Last night Emma and I made red hearts for her class for Valentine’s Day. She really loves to sew. I pulled out my sewing machine—which was my grandmother’s (!)—and we sewed and stuffed twenty hearts. She said, “Mommy, listening to music, sewing, and eating chocolate—this is so good, it’s like something in a book!” She is adamant about making valentines every year, and would never think of buying them from a store. That’s my girl!!
Tonight I’m headed to Oakland for the Self Love Concert with my girlfriends Christine Arylo, Shiloh McCloud and Amy Ahlers, featuring singer Karen Drucker. If you’re in the Bay Area, join us at the Center for Spiritual Living—www.SelfLoveConcert.com. It’s free, and it’s going to be awesome. Christine founded February 13th as the International Day of Self Love, and has seeded hundreds of Self Love celebrations around the country in the last few years.
Take a moment today to truly LOVE and APPRECIATE the brilliant BEING that is YOU! I DO!
