I am finally home after being gone for more than three weeks. I am grateful to sleep in my own bed, cuddle with my daughter and my husband, and relish the breath-taking countryside where I live.
And it was also difficult to leave my parents in Seattle, even though my dad is doing great after his hip replacement surgery. In their early 80s, my parents are more dear to me than ever.
We already have plans for the next trip to see them in August. Here’s a photo of Mount Rainer over Lake Washington that I took one morning on a walk with my mother. And the other is ice cream with strawberry and blackberry sauce that my brother made from berries so ripe they were falling apart! Love summer in Seattle.
I hope you are enjoying your summer (in the northern parts), and always enjoying your family.
