This week I’ve been getting up early and taking a walk first thing in morning. Now, this is NOT like me! But I’ve also thought it was “a good idea” for a long time, to stimulate my body this way early on. Then I started a business program that recommended this action as a key to my greater productivity – so I decided to commit to this for the next 30 days and see what happens. I’m including here a couple of photos from my morning walks here in the country of Sebastopol – a sunrise and a man-turkey displaying his tail!
Though it’s too early to tell for sure, I can say that I have felt more awake when starting my day, and probably more focused. I’ve also been changing some of my habits, like not reading or responding to email until later in the day, and turning more and more over to my team. So all in all, I’ve got a lot of change happening! I’ll keep you posted on the results I experience over this next month.
I like to shake things up every now and then, because it’s just so easy to get into routines. And even when a routine works, it begins to get stale after awhile. Have you ever noticed that? It’s like eating the same food all the time. It gets old, even when it’s really delicious and healthy food. And springtime seems to just call out for newness, are you shaking things up, too? You might want to give it a try, and see what happens!
