This week I’m home for a few days before heading to Santa Monica for Dare to Awaken this weekend. I’ve been enjoying connecting with my peeps outside the Bay Area, plus meeting lots of new people – and I get a chance to travel, too, which is fun for me! If you are in the LA area I’d love to see you – just reach out and we’ll get you a seat at this event. Here’s a photo of the hotel where we’re holding it.
Something new and fun, that may surprise you, that’s happening here at my house is that my daughter, Emma, and I have been studying algebra together. She really has an aptitude for math, and she’s not being challenged enough by her sixth grade math.
So after a parent-teacher conference, I brought home an eight-grade algebra book and we’ve been doing problems out of it. Plus she’s been doing them on her own – for fun! Now that is my daughter!
When I was a kid, I was known for my aptitude and love of calculating. Now it’s fun for me to share that with her, and to see how much pleasure she takes in it. Who says girls aren’t good at math?!
