This last weekend I had the pleasure of teaching seven 6th grade girls a few of the steps I have learned in the painting method developed by Shiloh Sophia McCloud and Sue Hoya Sellars. We began with a Red Thread Circle, and dove into backgrounds, outline, filling in and glazing. They became more and more focused as the time went on, and they saw their paintings emerge. Not even the chocolate cookies deterred them. This was a special experience for all of us – and we plan to do another day like this – a full day – soon!
We are getting ready for our Creating Money Circle Retreat next week! I always love gathering in person and experiencing the growth and transformation that happens only this way. I’m looking forward to better knowing these visionary entrepreneurs and supporting them to get their work out to the world in a bigger way, increasing their income and impact.
Our hills are green now that we’ve had a few days of rain. Though still “far behind” in rainfall, the earth, birds, trees, and especially the frogs (oh the frog symphonies!) are singing with delight! Still a year without winter, moving quickly into springtime.
