Vision 2012 ~ My Personal Vision first

written by Maggie Sale Ostara, PhD

I want to share something personal with you because I think it will help you understand a bit more about me.  I spent the first part of my adult life getting a PhD and working as a Women’s Studies Professor at Columbia University.  I had a “really good life” in that I was doing what I had set out to do, I had terrific engagement with my students, and I had a strong sense of commitment to creating positive change in the world through my life and my work.  But I was actually pretty depressed.

I was depressed because I had a pessimistic view of what was possible. I looked at environmental degradation, troubled relations between people of all kinds, economic inequality, the brutality of our legal system—all that and more—and I just felt overwhelmed, even sick at times.  My academic field was on the literature of slavery in the United States and the efforts of enslaved people to gain freedom and present themselves as fully fledged human beings, rather than as the property that the law made them out to be (at least in some places).  It was all rather depressing.

Then I left because I had to.  I just knew it inside though I didn’t really understand why.  Not long afterward, while doing Shamanic work with a woman in San Francisco, I discovered I could communicate with my guides through automatic writing.  This opened up such an entirely new world for me, and my life has been altered fundamentally from that point on.

Not too long after that, I received a message that became the basis of my work ever since.  That’s what I want to share with you today. It has everything to do with my Vision 2012.

In meditation one day as I was exploring what my contribution is in this life, I received this message:

“It can all change in an instant—snap!  Reality is not what you think it is.  You do not need to be depressed about the future of your world, your environment, or your people.  It can and will all change in an instant—snap!  When there are enough people at a high enough vibration, a more advanced level of consciousness, reality as you know it can change in ways that you cannot yet imagine.”

I knew then that my purpose is to help change consciousness on the planet toward a more open, connected, love-based way of being as a way to contribute to this shift.  That was 15 years ago, and I have been dedicated to that work ever since, both personally and professionally.

I have never been depressed about the state of the world since.  Because somewhere deep inside of me I know the truth of the message I received, even as I sometimes struggle with how to live my highest vibration in everyday life (LOL).

As the years have unfolded, I have explored and experienced many different ways of raising vibration and elevating consciousness.  And now, much to my surprise, I am dedicated to that through supporting the financial empowerment of Light Workers, Change Agents, and Evolutionary Entrepreneurs.
