7Because in addition to having a busy business, I also have a growing family. And this last weekend we had the pleasure (!) of hosting a slumber party for my daughter for her 12th birthday! We had a manageable crowd of six amazing girls. The girls had a great time in the hot tub and cold plunge and playing on the trampoline. The only thing I put a stop to was too much nail polish inside Emma’s room – toxic!
But it was me that was crazy. Of course I had to do all the food fresh. So we made gluten free pizzas, and homemade flourless chocolate cake (just eggs, butter, sugar and chocolate) with whipped cream and fruit on top! Food was excellent. But I had no idea how much work it is to make pizzas! (And hot, too.) Every year I say I won’t do all the cooking, but then . . .
Tomorrow is the Harvest Full Moon, followed by the Fall Equinox on Sunday. Take some time to take stock for yourself of what you are harvesting from this year so far, and what you will focus on during this turning inward time of Fall. My daughter is one of my biggest harvests that I celebrate because her birthday is in September – and I’m excited to be moving into my event season the next few months. I hope to see you at one of my events soon!
